Ella is one!!

This post is a little late with everything that has been going on. But Ella turned one on March 2. This year has gone by so fast, but we have enjoyed every minute of our time with her. Ella got two birthday parties this year, one with my family and one with Dustin's. She shared her first party with her cousin Riley who is only 8 days older than her.
This is Ella pushing Riley in his little Radio Flyer car. She has so much fun with him and she was laughing so much as she was trying to push him around. I can't wait for them to be little buddies as they get older.

Ella was still mostly interested in the tissue paper, but she did pull some of her presents out of the bags. Thanks to everyone for all of the fun stuff.

This is Ella when we were singing Happy Birthday. This is the face she makes when she is excited or happy, and we have been seeing it a lot lately.

This is Ella and Riley enjoying their cupcakes. Ella loved it, but Riley wasn't so sure about his hands being so sticky with frosting. Ella made sure to rub a bunch of cake and frosting in her hair at both parties.

Here is a little family photo and the McQuay birthday party. I am pretty sure Ella just wanted to get down and play with her cousins.

Here is Ella once again with her presents.

This is the amazing cake that Ella's aunt Brittney made for her. And in case you are wondering, it tasted as good as it looks.

And finally Ella had her 12 month check up at the doctor and here are her stats:

Height: 29.5" (65%)
Weight: 19 lbs. 8 oz. (24%)
Head: 17.5" (33%)

She is such a busy little thing and not the best eater so her weight percentile did fall. Her doctor wants us to give her lots of fattening foods just in case her size isn't from genetics.

Ella's personality has really come out in the last little while. She is really loud and social, although when she is around new people she will stare them down for several minutes. She loves to be crawling and exploring all around the house and she usually gets herself into places she shouldn't be very quickly. Ella is a great sleeper, but like I mentioned before, not a great eater. She hates wearing bibs now and will try as hard as she can to get them off. This makes meal times messy, but oh well. She also hates wearing socks now and she pulls them off as soon as I put them on. Good thing it hasn't been quite so cold lately. Ella is really becoming a Daddy's girl lately and it is so cute and Dustin loves it. When he gets home fromk work she is always excited to see him. She also LOVES her Grandma Diane and she will usually cry if I try to take her away from her. Ella has also become really cuddly lately and she now loves to be read to. Also, she isn't as happy playing by herself anymore, so she always wants me on the ground with her. It has been fun because she just loves to interact with us and now she mimics a lot of stuff we do which is really funny. Good job if you actually read all this and made it to the end. This was probably boring for many of you to read, but since she is one, I just wanted to document some of the things about her so I don't forget.
