We are alive

I looked today and I haven't posted in almost a month. The last few weeks I have been in a hazy fog of sickness. I was barely functioning but somehow we all came through it and are doing great. Ella was the first one to getsick unfortunately. She and Dustin came to one of my basketball games and she just laid in Dustin's lap the whole time without moving. For those of you that know Ella, you know that that is not typical for her. We took her home and discovered that she had a fever. It was never crazy high, but she just felt miserable. Then a few days later she got a bad cold and cough. Right around then I had a sore throat so I went to the doctor to confirm my suspicions of strep throat. The test was positive and I started antibiotics. The good news is that neither Dustin or Ella caught my strep. The bad news is that the next day I caught Ella's cough and cold. I swear it was the worst cold and cough I have ever had. No medicine I took seemed to do anything, except for Nyquil which gave me a couple great night's rest. It has been over a week and I still have it, but I am feeling so much better. I can breathe and I don't feel like my head is going to explode. I feel bad for Ella because during the days for the last week we watched a lot of tv and Baby Einstein movies. I just laid around in my misery and fortunately she is ususally pretty content to play by herself. I didn't cook the whole week and Dustin was so great and didn't care. He took care of a lot of things so that I could rest and get better. I do have some fun stuff that I will post about later, but for now here are some cute pics of little Ella.
