Races

As usual I am really behind on blogging.  The last month has gone by so fast and we have stayed really busy.  Every year my family does a great 5K race in Springville.  Unfortunately this year I couldn't run, but I walked it with my mom who had a foot injury.  Dustin was awesome and ran it pushing our double stroller with Ella and our nephew Riley in it, and he placed 3rd in his division. At the time of this race at the beginning of June, Dustin had been training for the Wasatch Back, which was a few weeks later.  Each year his work puts several teams together and he always has a great time.  Unfortunately Dustin was the only one in his van taking pictures, so there is only one picture of him running, and it is blurry.  Either way, he ran great and had a really good experience.

Here I am with my mom in the homestretch of the race.
During the awards ceremony a woman I don't know came up to me to ask if she could take my picture.  We all thought it was so funny so I had Dustin take my picture so we could remember that moment.  I was about 32 weeks at the time.  I have gotten so many comments this pregnancy so I wasn't really surprised by this woman's request.  I have really been carrying this baby straight out in front of me.  I don't know if it is because I have stayed in better shape this time around, or if it is because my ab muscles are just not as tight the second time.
Here is Dustin a few weeks later running in the Wasatch Back.  Between his 3 running legs, he ran about 18 miles with his third being the most difficult.  He amazes me with how much he can run and still enjoy it.
In the beginning of November in St. George Dustin is planning on doing a half marathon and I am hoping to do the 5K while pushing our two girls in the double stroller.  We'll see as it gets closer if I feel like I can manage both of them on my own.  Dustin and I both love running and staying in shape and we are excited for our next race.
